HGW flareless bite-type tube fittings connect hydraulic tubing without forming a 37° flare. The SAE J514 range includes unions, connectors, elbows, tees, crosses, bulkheads, swivels, nuts, ferrules, plugs, reducers, and port adapters.
A flareless connection uses a fitting body, nut, and ferrule. As the nut is tightened according to the assembly procedure, the ferrule grips and bites into the outside of the tube while the mating surfaces create the seal. Correct tube material, outside diameter, wall thickness, cut quality, insertion depth, preset, and final tightening are essential for a reliable joint.
HGW flareless series include straight, 45°, 90°, tee, cross, swivel, and bulkhead configurations. Available transitions connect the flareless tube end to JIC, NPTF, and ORB interfaces, allowing rigid tubing to be routed to ports or hose assemblies without converting the tube itself to a flared end.
Materials
Steel and stainless steel are available throughout much of the HGW flareless range, with brass offered in selected nuts, ferrules, connectors, and elbows. Confirm material compatibility and use matching body, nut, ferrule, and tube specifications.
