HGW NPT and NPTF hydraulic pipe fittings provide tapered-thread connections for fluid-power and industrial piping. The range includes nipples, couplings, reducers, bushings, caps, plugs, elbows, tees, crosses, swivels, bulkheads, and conversion adapters.
NPT and NPTF are tapered pipe-thread systems in which tightening creates thread interference. The connection style differs from straight-thread ports that seal with an O-ring or machined seat. Use a compatible thread sealant when required by the fitting, fluid, temperature, and installation procedure, and avoid using extra torque to compensate for damaged or mismatched threads.
HGW pipe-fitting series include male and female straight connectors, street elbows, long and low-profile elbows, branch and run tees, crosses, swivel configurations, bulkheads, caps, and several plug styles. Conversion series connect pipe threads to selected ORB, BSPP, BSPT, metric, and ISO 6149 interfaces, with each end retaining its own specified sealing method.
Materials
Many core NPT series are available in steel, stainless steel, and brass, while specialized conversion adapters may be offered in fewer materials. Check the individual part page for material, finish, thread designation, dimensions, and pressure information.
